TSI International believes that a corporation must be a beneficial part of the economic and social ecosystems it inhabits. In addition to performing due diligence to ensure that our investment activities are both socially and environmentally beneficial, we pursue proactive initiatives to serve the best interests of the planet and the people living on it.
In 2010, for example, TSI International took the initiative to support Birdlife Asia, the Asian division of Birdlife International (birdlife.org), a global alliance of conservation organizations working together for the world’s birds and people as part of its ongoing CSR program.
After the triple blow Japan suffered as a result of the earthquake in March 2011, TSI International and various groups affiliated with us donated a total of ¥4 million to the Japan Red Cross to assist those most in need and help mend the unimaginable devastation.
In February 2012, TSI was a proud sponsor of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Japan’s (CCCJ’s) Annual Maple Leaf Gala, which over 350 people attended, including many TSI guests. The objective of the event was to support the CCCJ’s continuing efforts to help those affected by the Tohoku disaster and to introduce the Tohoku Partnership Project to supply long-term assistance to the region. We encourage all of you to support relief efforts for the Tohoku region.
